BACO Environmental Engineering & Technology S.L. is a brand-new start-up, established in 2020; on the top of three decades of environmental engineering experiences from all around the world. The BACO team are highly motivated to resolve new environmental challenges especially during the current environmental and health world crisis. Disinfection Systems

The BACO disinfection system is a in-situ producer (ISP) to produce BACO advance multi oxidants solution. This system is using sodium chloride (salt) and water to produce oxidants such as ozone, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine dioxide, soluble gaseous chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, hypochlorous acid and oxygen.

Disinfection Solution

Disinfection means removal, deactivation or killing of pathogenic microorganisms. Microorganisms are destroyed or deactivated, resulting in termination of growth and reproduction. In advanced disinfection, contaminations such as organic material, bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasitic eggs, algae and biofilms will be removed. The agents also remove organic contaminants from water, which serve as nutrients or shelters for microorganisms. Disinfectants not only should kill microorganisms but also must have a residual effect, which means that they remain active in the water after disinfection. A disinfectant should prevent pathogenic microorganisms from growing in the plumbing after disinfection, causing the water to be contaminated. Disinfection can be attained by means of physical or chemical disinfectants. For chemical disinfection of water, the following disinfectants can be used: chlorine (Cl2), chlorine dioxide (ClO2), hypo chlorite (OCl-), ozone (O3), halogens: bromine (Br2), iodine (I2), Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).

Smart Disinfection System

Disinfection is not always easy since the chemical process should be highly controlled. Mostly, manual analysers are being applied and resulted in lots of human errors. There are several methods for chlorine measurement including photometry, spectrometry, amperometry and potentiometry. BACO propose a potentiometry method for online measurement of multi oxidants in BACO solution. Potentiometric electrodes will be developed based on multi oxidants disinfectants as a much more safe and efficient innovation. That is using dual or triple indexing electrodes to enable more established measurements. This technic is not only increasing the efficiency of disinfection processes but also decreasing the cost of operation.

Treatment Package

Heavy metal, mineral salts, acidity and alkalinity, turbidity, floating materials, toxic chemical compounds, organic materials, dyes and coloured substance are the specific pollution that can be treated by BACO packages in wastewater treatment plant, water treatment plant and leachate treatment plant. The main purpose of the treatment packages is obtaining standard recycled water (reuse water).

Potable and Sanitized Water

All potable and sanitized water must be cleaned without any microbial pollution which is easily accessible by the BACO system.

Water in Industrial Application

Water microorganisms are the source of problems in the industry. Water circulation in the cooling towers and also the water used in boilers should be free of microorganisms which can be removed by mixed oxidants solution. Furthermore, the available oxidants in the BACO solution may be utilized in some chemical processes of the industries.

Swimming Pools and Water Parks

The chlorine disinfectant is common in all swimming pools and ponds and their facilities. The BACO system is not only providing the best disinfectant solution but also decrease the cost of sanitation operation for these facilities. Moreover, the combination of different oxidants decreases the chlorine odor, skin problems and irritations and the water chemicals and by-products.

Disinfection of Wwastewater Treated Effluent

The wastewater effluent can be sanitized using a BACO system before disposing it in surface water or applying for agriculture. The BACO system can cost-effectively disinfect the effluent of wastewater plants without generating harmful by-products.

Mobile Disinfection System

In the situations of natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, the potable water would be required. The BACO system can be applied in this condition as a mobile facility in different capacities. The contaminated water may be filtered by a pretreatment system and its turbidity and solids content decreased down to the standard level and then disinfected using mixed oxidants system.

Indoor Cleaning and Disinfection

The BACO system can be utilized for indoor cleaning and disinfection such as operation rooms, hospitals, hotels, rest rooms, laundry rooms and so on as an efficient and cost-effective disinfectant solution.

Almost, all the cities in the state of California, USA, and some other towns around the world are privileging some instructions and standards in order to offer more sanitization to their public areas between 10 -500 ppm.
Sant Cugat del Valles is a municipality located in the region of Western Vallés , north side of Barcelona, in the state of Catalonia, Spain. Its population is about 90,000 people (2018), the eighth most populated in the province of Barcelona. The municipality area is about 48,500,000 m2 covered by different land use, especially open public areas such as streets, sidewalks, alleys, playgrounds, parks, public yards and parking, pedestrian ways, sport courts and so on.
